Rev. Dr. Clark J. Wood was the husband of Frances Wood. He was a minister in the Pacific Northwest Conference, Rock River Conference, Oregon Conference, Idaho Conference, New York Conference and Western New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Methodist Church and United Methodist Church.

WOOD.--The Rev Clark J. Wood, retired, died November 7, 1991, at the age of 80. Rev. Wood was born in Oregon on November 28, 1910. He married Francis April 21, 1932. There is one son, Jay Clark Wood. Rev. Wood's ministrey began in 1929 at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. He received his Doctor of Divinity while serving in Puget Sound. He served churches in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Illinois. In 1937, Rev. Wood was ordained into the United Methodist Church in Chicago. He served as Director of Rochester United Methodist Home, Rochester, New York and built an eight storey facility for the elderly while serving in that capacity. Rev. Wood was a member of the Gerontology Society. He testified before the Senate Committee on Retirement Homes in Washington, D.C. The Woods retired in 1976 and resided in California.
