JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH
Junior High United Methodist Youth Fellowship is designed for youth in the sixth through eighth grades. It is an opportunity for spiritual and emotional growth, fun, and fellowship in a Christian atmosphere. UMYF is based on the "diamond principle." This balanced program includes activities of various kind that meet the needs of the youth, hold their interest, and proclaim the mission of the Church. The principle includes: Worship - Firesides, which are devotionals done by the youth, parents, or one of the pastors, on current issues that affect youth today. Learning - Recognize their feelings toward God, themselves, and others. Service - Working on projects for the church and community. Recreation - Fellowship with picnics, movies, dances, and weekend retreats. The main objective of UMYF is to make our youth responsible members of the church and community. Please call the church office for meeting times; each year the youth and parents choose the schedule, with adjustments for the seasons of the year. Youth are welcome to come and experience the joy of Christian fellowship. A class is provided for our Junior High every Sunday morning from 10:00-10:45 am.
