Scouting at Trinity
Troop 6 BSA -

We have at least one campout each month from two to ten days in length. The campouts are hiking, biking, training, long term, ski-in, survival, canoeing, boating, involve winter native shelters or just plain ordinary drive-up. Most of these campouts are within one hundred miles of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Camporees with other district troops, the Scout Expo and visits to the local scout camps are other annual events.
We follow the guidelines of the Boy Scouts of America with the awards and advancement opportunities they offer. We also schedule community service projects, fund raisers, recognition banquets and family outings throughout the year. We also are always looking for adults (male or female) who are willing to help us with our program or have special skills, interests or activities for the scouts.
The scouts are also available through the Rent-a-Scout program for those odd jobs from house sitting to landscaping. Depending on the job, this may require from one to twenty-five scouts on a one time or repeating basis. Call us, maybe we can help. Please give us at least four days notice to schedule the scouts who do the work. The money they earn goes strictly for use in their scouting activities. Watch the display board near the main entrance to Trinity United Methodist Church for news, announcements and recent events.
Visit our web site - http://www.troop6idahofalls.org/Home.html for troop information & pictures, including Eagle Scouts since 1982. Troop 6 has been in continuous operation since 1920.

Cub Scout Pack 6 offers all the fun and adventure of the Cub Scouting program to young boys from 1st through 5th grade. We meet every Thursday evening at Trinity United Methodist Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho in various rooms. All dens meet at the same time and include Tiger Cubs, Wolfs, Bears, and first and second year WEBELOS. Meeting time is from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Once a month (usually the last Thursday) a full Pack Meeting is held in Mary Dawson Hall.
The boys learn about the scouting program and participate in community activities such as "Scouting for food" and Veterans Day activities just to name a few. Full adult leadership is always present during all Cub Scouting activities, with at least two adults present at all times with each den. The Tiger Cubs require one of the parents remain with the young scout during all meetings and activities. Once a month, a committee meeting is conducted with all leaders and interested parents to plan the next months activities and discuss the future of the young scouters.
